Club History

2008 - 2011

  • Our Club was founded with 56 members, even though we had no ground and no facilities
  • We joined the Football Federation of Victoria
  • We relocated to Featherbrook Oval
  • The Club won its first League Championship
  • The Club proudly fielded its first Female Team

2012 - 2016

  • 2012, we had 280 members, and we fielded 19 teams
  • 2013 The Club fields its first-ever Senior Team
  • Men’s State League 5 team is promoted in its first season
  • The Club relocates to Saltwater Reserve – New facilities, new pitches, we were finally home
  • 2015, we had 485 members and we fielded 36 teams

2017 - 2019

  • 569 Members and 40 teams
  • Senior Women’s team is promoted to State League 3
  • Big growth for our mini-roo and junior teams
  • 2017, we field our first all-abilities teams, for players with Cerebral Palsy or an ABI
  • Senior Men’s & Reserves teams both win their leagues & are promoted to SL3
  • State League 3 Women’s team win the league & are promoted to SL2
  • Club signs partnership with English Premier League Club, Cardiff City

2020 - 2022

  • Possibly the hardest period in the club’s history as Covid takes its toll over a 2-year period
  • Disruptions & lockdowns, interrupted or cancelled seasons
  • Our Club stood tall through all that it faced & came out of lockdown stronger than ever
  • 2022, we had 414 members and fielded 29 teams
  • After three years of disruption, We know that Point Cook not only survived but will thrive

2023 - Present

  • Post covid the club bounced back to record a strong financial position allowing the club to invest in new equipment for all our
  • The club has continued to grow with 570 Members and 36 team for the 2024
